Bare Foot Workers intensive two-day advanced training program

On April 24, 2026, 47 members of St. Peter’s Church were awarded the Barefoot Health Worker Certificate by Fr. Luke Rodrigues, Parish Priest of St. Peter’s Church, Bandra, in recognition of their successful completion of a year-long training program in preventive healthcare. This initiative was organized by the Health Promotion Trust in collaboration with the Ekatvam Association of St. Peter’s Church, Bandra.

Building on this achievement, 21 trained Barefoot Health Workers from St. Peter’s Church, Bandra, participated in an intensive two-day advanced training program held from April 25 to 26, 2026, at the Vedruna Holistic Health Centre in Unai, Gujarat, under the guidance of Sr. Lissy Paul Chollamadom. The program focused on the preparation and application of herbal and home-based remedies, further strengthening their capabilities in community health practices.
